Cabin in the woods on a spring fed mountain river. Please note - This is a rustic cabin. Composting toilet in out house (no smell), Hand pump in the sink for water. Electricity, Fridge and full size range and oven, Gas grill, wood stove, radio (and a killer collection of 80's era tapes) Deck, Screen house.
Our camp has been our retreat for years and we have shared it with too many friends to count and we hope you might find the same enjoyment there too.
The cabin sits on the Lovell River located in the middle of the Ossipee Mountain chain. The river is super clean, clear and holds native brook trout. We have one neighbor down stream and no one up stream. Odds are good you will never see the neighbor.
The upstairs loft has a queen and full sized bed, plus a loft extension with mattresses for 4. Down stairs has a queen sized futon that folds out. Original Lay-z-boy and built in picnic table.
Cell reception at the camp stinks - so we have a land line for 911 emergency calls. If you really need your cell - you just have to go for a short walk and the trees open up enough for reception.
The recreation opportunities of the area are endless. Hiking, mtn biking, climbing, bouldering, fly fishing, birding.
Some folks use the cabin as a base for enjoying all the other areas in the Lakes region and Mount Washington Valley offer. Most folks arrive at camp and find it hard to leave.
This is our special place. We will share with you if you are interested.
Please note: Camp is not for everyone - but if you love the outdoors. I've never had a single person say they did not love it. (even my sister that has never tent camped a day in her life liked it!)+ More
