Property Description

Beautiful custom home in the rain forest. Only 2 miles to the longest erupting Volcano on the planet. You can walk through a lava tube that's open on each end. Walk on the rim of the crater, or for the more adventurous you can walk through the base of a crater. Follow in Mark Twain's footsteps. He was a famous American writer in the 1800's. There are miles of hiking trails to explore. At the end of the day there's no better place to be than soaking in the heart shaped hot tub with your favorite beverage. It's on a covered lanai facing out the forest. Very private. Next to the entry are a BBQ and three burner denali stove. Perfect for that steak and lobster dinner to go with the wine. Enter the house and on the right is a 6 seating dining table. Next to that is a antique replica railroad pot belly stove. There's plenty of fire wood and fire starter. Careful, it only takes a small amount of wood to make the house warm and cozy. The custom kitchen has cherry cabinets topped with a multi toned amber granite and deep double black sinks. Designer dishes and cook ware. Stemmed wine glasses for indoors and plastic stemmed for the hot tub area. Fresh roasted Kona coffee and cuisinart grinder. Creamer, tea and cocoa. Salt and pepper. Black and stainless appliances. Bamboo flooring in the living area. Black leather couch and love seat with 4 recliners. 32 inch flat screen tv ,Plenty of dvd's. Limited cable. plus wifi. All three bedrooms have king size beds and hotel grade mattress's. 850 thread count sheets, velour blankets and tropical bed spreads. Extra blankets in the closets. There are 2 baths, one with a walk in shower and one with a designer soaking tub. Bath and laundry are natural stone flooring. Window coverings are shoji screens. Water supply for the house and hot tub are rain water, great for the skin. There is a set of golf clubs in the closet. Tommy Armour.

Great place for an overnight stay on the Volcano side

Three roomy bedrooms with king sized beds in each, a full kitchen, washer and dryer (although we only used the dryer when we got rained on). This was really close to HVNP as well as Volcano Village while feeling completely secluded. Very quiet place that felt like it was deep in the rainforest. Motion detector exterior lights for safety. There is n... Read More

Lovely get away

Thanks so much for sharing such a lovely place with us. The accommodations were just right for our family. Not only did we have a place to relax after a busy day at the national park, we found the a wonderful cafe and met some friendly locals. Many people think of the beach resorts when thinking about Hawaii, but this is a piece of the island that... Read More

Serene and Private

Four adults shared a night at this property while enjoying hiking at Kilauea Volcano. The hot tub was a special bonus for soaking after our day's activities. Home was clean, comfortable and well stocked for weary travelers. Bedrooms are at separate ends of the home, which made for a private and quiet night. We were treated to the soft sounds of rai...
