Tour the nearby Aiken Equine Rescue. Fish, boat, or walk around two local public ponds, Anderson & Boyd Park. Shop the seasonal daily farm just down the road, or the antique "mall" on the way to Augusta (warning, it can take a full day, but includes a cafe to recharge or wait for the that handmade leather belt or purse you've wanted).
Plenty of local golf & public clay tennis courts. Have breakfast at the track in the historic horse district, & catch early morning thoroughbred workouts (Palace Malice winner of the Belmont part of the Triple Crown). Plenty of boutiques & antique shops downtown. Walk off lunch in the 2,000+ acre Hitchcock Woods park, followed by dinner at the famous Wilcox Hotel, or any number of other terrific places in Aiken.+ More
