If you want to get away from it all, there is nothing finer than an island cottage in Muskoka. From the moment you leave the mainland, you can feel the grip of the city melt away.
Situated in a quiet bay on the south west corner of Browning Island, the property is a gently sloping, lovely mix of tall trees, lawn and sandy shore. With 300 feet of frontage, privacy is guaranteed. There is an expansive sunset view as well, sun all day long, but plenty of spots for the shade seeker to sink into a chair or hammock and doze beneath the pines. There is a constant breeze and virtually no bugs. The 45 x 55 2 slip cedar dock has 5 muskoka chairs and is a great place to hang out and swim from. There is a stone terrace at the water's edge with 4 more muskoka chairs out of the sun.
The cottage was doubled in size this past winter by the Fitzmaurice Brothers, and now is 2500 square feet, with two full bathrooms, five bedrooms, brand new laundry facilities, chef's kitchen and 750 square foot screened-in Muskoka room. The ceilings are vaulted tongue and groove cedar in most of the rooms, and the living room has a two way stone fireplace into the master bedroom. The bedrooms are Master: King bed; Bunk room: 2 twins, 2 doubles; guest room #1: Queen; Guest room # 2: Queen; Guest room #3: 2 twins.
There is ping pong, foosball, horse shoes, and tons of board games and DVD movies.
There are 2 kayaks, a canoe, a stand up paddle board, a swing and a tree house.
The cost is $860.00 per night, ( based on 6 adults) with a 7 night minimum stay. If you are
