Lemon Canyon Ranch is a 1400-acre working cattle ranch in lovely, unspoiled Sierra Valley, the largest sub-alpine valley in the Sierra Nevada, 25 miles north of Truckee, CA. The house has 4 bedrooms: 2 rooms with double beds, one room with a queen bed and one room with a twin bed (and a futon that can be used for a second person). The bedrooms share 3 half-baths, a large bathing room (with both shower and bath), and an enticing outdoor shower. The house has a high-ceiling living room with a working fireplace, a cozy kitchen and dining room (with fireplace), and a wrap-around porch where one can watch the sunset or dine under the stars. There is internet access, a Bluetooth audio player, a DVD player and VCR, and plenty of books, puzzles and games (but no television reception).
In addition to exploring the meadows and forested uplands of the ranch itself, guests can use the ranch as a jumping off place for excursions to the wonderlands of the northern Sierra: the Tahoe National Forest, which borders the ranch on three sides, the Sierra Buttes and Lakes Basin, the North Yuba Canyon, and Truckee/Tahoe, all within 30 minutes of the ranch. The ranch is accessible year-round by dirt road and a 4-wheel drive vehicle may be required during winter. The ranch is an ideal location for a family reunion, a gathering of old friends, or a romantic retreat. Here you can enjoy the best of the Sierra Nevada in all seasons, in spectacular and rare solitude.
