Wifi is currently not available in this area of the island. We provide a Verizon Jet Pack which provides some access to wifi and it is also available at certain places on the island, including both libraries, the golf course, and some restaurants.
Pets allowed only with owner's permission. Deer Isle is what Julia Child referred to as 'true Downeast Maine' when she often vacationed near this home. With lobster and seafood galore!
Sea Kayaking can be done right from the property's edge (2 boats available). Island has small golf course, tennis, many hiking trails, freshwater pond, and gorgeous sunsets. Haystack Mountain School of Arts and Crafts is a renowned workshop facility on the island. Ninety minutes from Acadia National Park. It's a short ferry boat trip from Stonington to Isle au Haut, part of Acadia National Park. Internet access thru MIFI. Dish TV.
Deer Isle is also well know for its artist community, with many wonderful galleries and antique shops.
