Outdoor activities abound, as the home is within a few miles of several natural swimming holes, hiking trails, the Ashokan Reservoir, and the Woodstock Golf Course. Be sure to check out Overlook Mountain and the famous Big Deep swimming hole.
About 7 miles away is the city of Kingston, which was New York's first capital in 1777, and features three historic districts - the Uptown Stockade District, the Midtown Neighborhood Broadway Corridor, and the Downtown Rondout-West Strand Historic District.
NOTE: There is a room above the converted garage that will be reserved for the owners, so occasionally, the owners will be staying at the property. There will be the use of one of the 4 parking spaces during those stays. The owners will not be using the outside of the property (porch, deck, lawn etc.). They will only use the stairs outside that lead to a separate entrance to the room. Your privacy will be treated with the utmost respect. This room will likely be used 15 nights from June 28-Labor Day.
Owners will pay for mowing to take place every other week, garbage pick up, water and propane( for the stove and dryer) and electric. We will ask for responsible use of air conditioning, with a standard thermostat setting. Excessive energy charges compared with prior 3 years of use will be subject to additional. This will be discussed and agreed upon before rental commences.
