3 season 3 bedroom cottage on Shabomeka Lake (near Cloyne, ON) secluded, on a private road; phone, Air Cond., electric heat, full bathroom (brand new 2017), BBQ, microwave, boat house. (145' of frontage on the lake)
Very quiet area, beautiful deep lake, about 5.5 feet deep at the end of the dock, clean, plenty of bass, perch, trout. Included is an aluminum boat, 16' canoe, fire pit, outside furniture, screened in gazebo, large deck; sun sets. For an additional $200 per week, there is a second aluminum boat with a 9.9 Evinrude outboard - the first tank of gas is included. On a lake this size, you'd have to use the boat a LOT to use up one tank in a week! Rental of this boat is conditional on all operators having their boating license.
Great swimming/boating right from dock, private beach a mile down the road or lake, great area for walking/hiking; close to Bon Echo Provincial Park, groceries, movie rentals, golf, etc. You have the sun all afternoon on the dock, but can always find shade on the land or porch. Small dog(s) are welcome, no cats, no smoking - Quiet area, so no loud parties, no sea doos, ATVs, or dirt bikes.
If you're looking for a 'party' area or lake this is not for you. As we are just down the shore, we will be held somewhat accountable by our neighbours if there is a lot of noise/parties, so we are particular to whom we rent. Obviously good family fun is not considered noise :)
If you have any questions about the cottage, the area, or us, please do not hesitate to contact. Flexibility is available if we discuss the property prior to booking.
Thank you for your interest,
Todd and Darlene.
One bedroom has a Double, the other two each have a set of bunks with a 'double' bottom, and a 'twin' top.
The water front is rock/stone/sand; there is a gentle slope for swimming, and one side of the dock has all the rocks cleared out for better access. There is a swim ladder on the dock; the water is about 5 feet deep off the end. The water is nice and clear, with no weeds.
The lot itself is flat, hard-packed earth/rock/stone. 3 or 4 steps take you from the deck, then about 30' (all flat/level ground, but with rocks/roots to step over) to the waters edge/dock. As you can see in the pictures, there are many trees surrounding the cottage, so you're able to choose a 'sun location' or a 'shade location' at just about any time of day.+ More
