Renting from May to October. Small dog(s) are welcome, no cats, no smoking - Quiet area, so no loud parties, no sea doos.
Information About The Owner
My parents built a cottage on this lake before I was born - I have been enjoying it all my life. My wife and I were fortunate enough to buy my parent's neighbour's cottage a few years ago, and 5 years ago, bought this cottage for future family use - our 2 cottages are 6 lots away from this one, on the same private road. There are 102 cottages on the lake - half the shore line has cottages, the other half is all crown land. There are two islands; one is privately owned, the other can be explored.
There are smaller lakes, with no cottages, within easy paddling or walking distance. As with all 'smaller' lakes, there are no stores or marinas on the lake, however, there is a free public boat launch down the lake you can use if required.
The lake is about 2.5 miles long and 1 mile across - there aren't 'huge' boats, it's generally rare to see a sea doo, and with no access to any other lakes (by motor boat) we do not have 'foreign' boat traffic.
If you're looking for a 'party' area or lake this is not for you. As we are just down the shore, we will be held somewhat accountable by our neighbours if there is a lot of noise/parties, so we will be a little particular to whom we rent. Obviously good family fun is not considered noise :)
If you have any questions about the cottage, the area, or us, please do not hesitate to send me an email (email@example.com) or call our home at 519 632 9032 any time. If we don't answer, please leave a message, we're probably up at the cottage :)
Thank you for your interest,
Todd and Darlene.
One bedroom has a Double, the other two each have a set of bunks with a 'double' bottom, and a 'twin' top.
The water front is rock/stone/sand; there is a gentle slope for swimming, and one side of the dock has all the rocks cleared out for better access. There is a swim ladder on the dock; the water is about 5 feet deep off the end. The water is nice and clear, with no weeds.
The lot itself is flat, hard-packed earth/rock/stone. 3 or 4 steps take you from the deck, then about 30' (all flat/level ground, but with rocks/roots to step over) to the waters edge/dock. As you can see in the pictures, there are many trees surrounding the cottage, so you're able to choose a 'sun location' or a 'shade location' at just about any time of day.+ More
