Our spacious and light-filled house is located just a few blocks from the beach and right behind the shops and restaurants of Main Street. We are a short walk to Abbott Kinney, the Santa Monica Pier, Venice boardwalk, and more!
Our house is an "upside down" floor plan. The ground level has two bedrooms, one larger with a queen-sized bed and two sets of french doors accessing the backyard. The backyard has a great deck with comfy lounge chairs and a small area of artificial turf. It is perfect for playing with little kids or just relaxing with a book and enjoying the beautiful weather in the shade.
The smaller bedroom has a queen sofa bed and a large desk. It makes a great kids room or office depending on your needs. There is a "Jack & Jill" bathroom between the two bedrooms with a large bathtub, as well as a powder room in the front hallway.
There is another large bedroom on the second floor with a vaulted ceiling and two sets of french doors out to a small balcony. This bedroom also has its own bathroom. The main living area is an open floor plan that gets great light from a wall of windows. The kitchen has a large center island and a gas stove, and is wonderful for cooking. Most of the year we have lots of windows open throughout this part of the house.
The third floor is a loft with two couches that is open to the main living area. The loft also provides access to the roof deck. The roof deck has a wide open feel, with a large sectional couch and umbrella, a fire table,and BBQ grill.
There is lots of closet and general storage space throughout the house. There is a full size washer and dryer in the garage. We have a one car garage and a two car driveway. The house also has a dog door and dedicated dog run on the side if you are bringing a furry friend.
The neighborhood is, in a word, amazing! This is possibly the most walkable location in LA. The house is around the corner from Main Street, with all its coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and shopping (we are happy to provide recommendations), as well as the farmers market every Sunday. There are a half dozen coffee shops that are so close that they are often faster than making it yourself. The beach and bike path are a five minute walk from your front door, and many of the main attractions of the Santa Monica/Venice area are easily walkable from here. There is also a fantastic Whole Foods close by.
We have great internet (50/50 Fios) and two TV's, one with a TiVo and one with Roku.
The house is heated and air conditioned, and there is a gas fireplace in the living room.
The rate includes bi-monthly professional cleaning service.
Smoking is absolutely prohibited anywhere on the property, including the outdoor spaces.
This is a quiet home and we do not allow parties.
Pets are welcome with owner approval prior to booking.
We require all guests to sign a separate rental agreement confirming the dates of their stay and the house rules prior to booking.
We are happy to provide an additional discount for longer term stays. If you are interested in visiting for two months or longer, please let us know!+ More
