Walker Lake Resort is a relaxing family cottage resort on beautiful Walker Lake in the heart of Muskoka. We’re located just 15 minutes from Huntsville and Algonquin Park, but a million miles away from it all. We have seven lakeside cottages, a sandy shallow beach, canoes, kayaks, fishing boat, a water trampoline and more. Enjoy the haunting call of the loon and the tranquil quiet.
The Acorn is a quaint and cozy two bedroom cottage that can accommodate up to five people. One bedroom has a queen bed, one bedroom has two single beds, and there is a futon in the living room for a fifth person. It has a separate living room with a great view of the lake, a separate kitchen and a glassed in dining area, a three-piece bathroom and a large outdoor deck. It also has a coffee maker, dishes, cutlery, pots & pans, and linens. awesome
A gas BBQ and picnic table are also provided. The Acorn is close to the lake and has a wonderful view. The beach and dock are just steps away.
The price includes free internet and the use of our canoes, kayaks, paddle boat, fishing boats, stand up paddle boards, water trampoline, beach and dock area. Linens, bath towels and cooking utensils are also included.
Swimming in the healing spring fed waters of Walker Lake is a delight, as is relaxing on the sandy beach, enjoying the huge dock and shallow, sandy beach. Resort guests have access to canoes, kayaks, paddle boat, stand up paddle boards and fishing boats. Fishing for bass off the dock or on the lake is a favourite activity for guests who love to fish.
In the winter come and explore a winter wonderland. Experience cross country ski trails by the lakes in beautiful Algonquin Park and Arrowhead Park. Travel amongst the hardwood forests and lakes typical of Algonquin Park, with three trail networks specifically designed and reserved for cross-country skiing. You will almost certainly see moose or deer tracks on your outing. We’re also close to Arrowhead Park with groomed cross country ski trails, snowshoe trails and an outdoor skating rink overlooking beautiful Mayflower Lake.
