Ever dream of staying in a little ranger cabin in the heart of the Rocky Mountains? This new cabin is perfect for a couple traveling to Rocky Mountain National Park or for a week-end get away if you live on the northern Front Range. It offers quiet, solitude, and peacefulness from the crazy world below. The cabin is theme-based on the little backcountry ranger cabins found in national parks. It is located 24 miles west of Fort Collins, and 26 miles northwest of Loveland, and has 2 wheel drive access. It is 1 hour to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is off-the-grid, but features propane lights, heater, refrigerator, and stove.
The cabin has a full-sized bed with premium mattress, and also a sleeping loft for your own air mattress and sleeping bags. The cabin has a kitchenette with dinner ware and pots and pans. You can dine inside or out on the picnic table. There is a small bathroom with composting toilet. There is no shower or bath.
The cabin offers the rare opportunity to unplug and disconnect. There is no wifi or cell service. Think you can do it? You can walk for miles from the cabin down beautiful Redstone Canyon on our local country road. Or read and write like rangers did after hours. Wildlife abounds on the property, so don't be surprised to see deer, turkey, coyote, hummingbirds, and occasionally bear, bobcat or mountain lion. Because there are bears in the area, we are strict about not leaving any food or packaging outside when you are not present. *Things to know: this is a "roughing it in style" experience. Since this is a dry cabin, you must bring in your own water. We suggest 5 gallons per night. Because fire danger is usually high in the summer, we do not allow open campfires on the property.+ More
