Interaction with guests
Our primary residence is two hours from Asheville. We are easily reachable by phone but will not be on the property.
Remember that each home listed on HomeAway is unique.
Because you’re staying in someone's home and not a hotel room, the space and amenities will be different for each place depending on your host. Your last Homeaway host may handle things differently than us. Feel free to ask any questions prior to booking if you are unsure what to expect.
Treat your host’s home like it’s your own.
We put a lot of care into our home so make sure to respect our rules, our space, and our neighbors.
Communicate with us. Also, let us know if you have any questions or issues during your stay. We are easy to reach and quick to respond to messages.
The neighborhood is a subdivision but the lots are spacious and feel private. Our home backs up to a 75 acre farm so there is no one on the backside of the house. The neighbors are quiet and stay to themselves.
A car is recommended. Downtown Weaverville is about 3 miles away while downtown Asheville is a quick and easy 8 mile drive away.
Biltmore estate is approximately 10 miles away.
Other things to note
Master bedroom cannot be closed off from the rest of the house. It is loft style. There are blackout curtain panels that stretch the length of the room to give you darkness and privacy if you choose. No one can see into the master bedroom from any other part of the house even when curtains are open.
Accessing the master bedroom requires climbing stairs. It's an easy, one flight climb.
Laundry area is located in the basement, also accessed by stairs.
*No fires (except candles) in fireplace. Non-working fireplace.
**Master bedroom features Purple brand mattress. Consult manufacturer about recommendations if planning on co-sleeping with an infant. (URL HIDDEN)
*We have one small dog that travels with us but he is the only pet on the property and his time there is limited. We do our best to make it so that his occasional presence will have no affect on your comfort.
-Since I’m not here to clean, I have a third-party cleaning service come, and I also add a cleaning-fee to my listing. They’ll change the bedding, tidy the space and then put new towels out.
-Something to note: you may see hard water stains in the sinks, toilets & bathtubs. The acidity of the water reacts with the pipes & leaves a blue stain. The porcelain toilets are forever darkened. :( This is typical of the region when well water is utilized. This is a cosmetic issue and not a cleanliness nor a safety issue.
