The house is New England on the outside with a lovely garden, fish pond, and porch/deck spaces. On the inside is unique Moroccan styling. The house was featured in the book "New Moroccan Style". Guests remark how warm and welcoming the home is with it's high ceilings, comforting color palate, and beautiful outdoor spaces.
The home is located off a private dirt road. It is private enough that you would never know you are minutes from the ferry, shops, and lagoon. A short walk will bring you to one of the Vineyard conservation sites with trails through the woods and steps to the lagoon.
The most outside noise you should hear during the day is the sound of the ferry signally its departure, birds, or a distant lawn mower. At night, it's quiet enough to hear the moon.
On cool nights, open the windows for a fresh delicious breeze.
The downstairs BR has an adjacent bath with a shower and jacuzzi tub. There are two bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom (shower). All the beds are queen size.
There is a spectacular spacious outdoor shower.
I am on site in a private space with The Bs as I call them: Bella, a 3-legged Weimeraner, and three cats Bisous, a Maine Coon cat, Beanie, a shorthair, and Binkley, a Ragdoll. They are all sweet and spoiled. They have the run of the house given the chance except the guest rooms. For all of my guests, it seems the Bs are added amusement. If you have a pet that is cat friendly, I will consider it. There is no smoking in the house.
I expect guests to be mindful and courteous as I would be of guests. Children are welcome. I am very child friendly. Note that the house is not child-proofed with regard to breakable objects.
There is ample parking for guests with a car(s). I am near the ferry terminal where you can find tour buses, car and bike rentals. Please don't rent a moped for your own sake. There are moped tragedies every year.
