Property Description

Behind one of oldest, most beautifully renovated historic homes in Paonia, sits the wonderfully charming Studio Cottage, designed and renovated in 2011 by talented local Paonia interior designer, Jeanine Devlin.

This super sweet cottage is decked out with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful week or weekend in Paonia!

Walk to our cute downtown in 5 minutes, enjoy the local brewery, coffee shops, tapas bistro and all the unique small town restaurant settings.

Tour the wineries, all within just 10-15 minutes of this quiet cottage nestled on a pretty street with other sweet older Victorian homes.

The Studio Cottage offers a relaxing outdoor porch and dining area, and for a bonus – a grape vine trellis and hammock. Waking up to the sounds of birds chirping and wind chimes is completely magical!

Only photos do the Studio Cottage justice, so scroll down to take a look, you will immediately fall in love with this very special place, tastefully decorated, and with its wonderful proximity to everything that is great about Paonia – enjoy great downtown restaurants including the Flying Fork, Back Country Bistro, Louie’s Pizza, and the infamous Revolution Brewery, all within a 5 minute walk.

Enjoy this peaceful setting while you enjoy the wonderful Paonia festivals, or while touring the fantastic wineries, including Black Bridge, Azura Cellars & Gallery, Terror Creek, Stone Cottage, Alfred Eames Vineyard & Winery, and Leroux Creek Vineyard & Winery to name just a few, or for a totally relaxing getaway from the city.

A restored Columbia bicycle built for two is available upon request, or take a leisurely drive through the valley to see all the bounty and beauty from the many organic farms, and fit in a movie, concert or dance party at the wonderful Paradise Theatre or Blue Sage Center for the Arts in the evenings.

Great hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding and world-class trout fishing are all within easy reach. Paonia boasts fantastic musicians, writers, artists and craftspeople along with many festivals such as Cherry Days in July, Mountain Harvest Fest in September, and even a local film festival in early Spring.

While visiting Paonia and the North Fork Valley, you will experience the most spectacular scenery in Western Colorado. Then for longer stays, the Black Canyon National Monument, Grand Mesa, West Elks Scenic Byway, historic mining towns of Crested Butte, Redstone and Marble, and Kebler and McLure passes are all within an hour and a half drive. Telluride and Aspen are 2 to 2-1/2 hours so even possible during longer stays.

Perfect weekend getaway or for an extended vacation!

Perfect Retreat

Loved this cottage. The deck was perfect for reading or enjoying a glass of wine. Jo, the owner, was kind and gracious, even allowing us to use her tandem bike. The inside was spacious and perfect for a romantic get-a-way. Will certainly stay here again!

Cutest Studio in a Lovely Park-like Setting

This studio guest house offers a quiet relaxing setting and is decorated in a charming way. We would recommend staying here if you are going to visit Paonia. Be aware that some things we normally consider standard at this price point are not included, hair dryer and microwave oven for example. Otherwise, the kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped... Charming, private, cozy cottage

We loved staying at the cottage on our visit to Paonia. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen and bath well-designed and decorated, and the outside space was incredible- I spent a rainy afternoon reading in the hammock, kept dry by the grape arbor. The folks in Paonia are so interesting, nice, and friendly...and the surrounding area was great to exp... Read More

Oasis in the Heart of Town

This is a great place to stay that is private and cozy yet you can walk anywhere in town. The inside is efficient and well designed, and the outside is relaxing and inviting. Sit on the rocker and read a book, take a nap on the very comfy bed, or whip up a snack in the kitchen. Dinner on the patio picnic table is lovely. We had a great time and loo... Read More
