Beach House with truly unbeatable location. Check out our site Cape Cod Beach Retreat.
Location: This house is located on world famous Nauset Beach. It provides fantastic, unobstructed ocean views and unbeatable beach access. The huge grassy yard touches National Seashore. Just walk out your door and down a sandy road and path for about 8-10 minutes. Arrive onto miles of pristine sandy beach. Perfect for long walks, playing in the waves, surfing or sunbathing. The house is in the exclusive Nauset Heights neighborhood and located at the very end of a Private Way. It is very peaceful and quiet, truly 'The perfect get away.' Due to proximity to the beach cell phone reception may be spotty.
Description: The house is built for ocean-lovers. It has many floor-to-ceiling windows and unbeatable ocean views from the master bedroom, living room, dining area and deck. It is an older, classic Cape Cod house with lots of character and history. There is no central air conditioning as we are so close to the beach the breezes keep the house fresh and cool.
Upper level: Wrap around deck with sunrise views. Perfect for meals, cocktails, and relaxation. Occasionally you can see whales and seals from the deck. I love the deck and often do yoga on it in the morning while watching the sunrise. There is a great BBQ grill on deck and we often have BBQ's or invite friends over for evening wine and oysters.
Outdoor shower at the main entrance is great when you get back from the beach. I shower there all the time because I love it :)
The master bedroom is stunning, with floor to ceiling windows and tons of natural light. Watch the sunrise from your bed. Truly stunning ocean views and doors out to the deck. Very peaceful and romantic.
The ''corner bedroom'' (queen bed) is quite large with diagonal ocean view and plenty of windows and light. It is quite spacious with a large closet and dresser. The third bedroom is a bit smaller and faces the garden and back yard.
The'' pine view bedroom'' (double bed) is smaller but very comfortable for two people. Large closet and dresser and large windows facing the garden and pine trees.
The corner bedroom and pine view bedrooms share a small very basic bathroom down the hall or they can chose to use the master bathroom, also accessed form the hallway.
Living room and dining room have floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors to deck. From the entire area you get fabulous ocean views and tons of natural light. Very nice for reading, games or just hanging out and watching the waves.
The kitchen is pretty basic; No garbage disposal. But it does have a dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove, coffeemaker. Fully equipped.
Lower level: The lower level of the house has two bedrooms and one bathroom with a full tub. It has an additional kitchen with full refrigerator. It also has an additional living room with a pull out sofa bed. 6 people can sleep downstairs. The downstairs also has a private entrance and a large patio.
The front "ocean view" bedroom (double bed) and living room (sofa bed) have windows facing the patio and ocean. The second "garden view" bedroom (2 twin beds) is on the back of the house with garden views.
Many people enjoy having kids stay downstairs and use downstairs living room as a kids playroom. Extra kitchen and fridge is great for storing drinks and bulk food items.
Plenty of parking in driveway.
The layout of bedrooms is as follows:
Master bedroom: queen bed own bath
Corner bedroom: queen bed
Pine view bedroom: double bed
Corner and pine view bedrooms share bath down the hall
Ocean view bedroom: double bed
Garden view bedroom: two twin beds ( kid room usually)
Pull out sofa bed
All share downstairs bathroom
The exclusive Nauset Heights neighborhood is beautifully preserved and provides a very tranquil natural environment. There is easy access to excellent bike paths, surf beaches, calm bays, many lakes, boating, fine dining, boutique shopping, evening entertainment and activities for all ages.
About Nauset Beach House:
In the 1960's my grandparents, both lawyers in Philadelphia, bought this plot of land and designed their dream retirement home right here on Nauset Beach. Their friends thought they were crazy for choosing such a remote piece of land. However, as soon as the house was built everyone wanted to visit and rent it out for the summer. For decades my grand parents lived here and rented out the downstairs to colleagues and friends. When it wasn't rented the house was always full of children, grand children, family and friends. My parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters and I have all spent college summers living here. Body surfing on Nauset, biking to the lakes, working in town, and enjoying the relaxed lifestyle of waking up to the sunrise over the ocean each morning. It is truly a magical place in an unbeatable location.+ More
