Come to our beloved 1890 cottage with perennial gardens and winding stairway down to the ocean and a rocky beach, where you can beach comb for starfish and other sea treasures, watch seals or sun on the dock. The cottage is located on a beautiful stretch of Maine's mid-coast area, hidden away on a quiet lane. The house has deep water mooring, as well as rocky beach access so bring or rent a kayak, sailboat or motor boat. It is an easy walk, bike ride or drive to the local market, restaurant or local arts and crafts store.
The cottage is filled with comfortable furnishing, both modern and antique as well as Maine and ocean memorabilia. The year round cottage has a bedroom and full bath on the first floor with views of firs and the ocean. The first floor has an open plan with kitchen, dining, living and front room with sweeping views of the bay from three sides.
Downstairs is a family room with a pull out couch. The second floor has two bedrooms, full bath and laundry area. The large master queen bedroom faces east with windows on three sides, the second bedroom has trundle and loft beds.
There are many outdoor and indoor sitting areas to enjoy the ocean and forest views, including a patio off the west side with a grill, table and chairs. The terraced front yard has many sitting spots with bay and island views, set with natural stone benches, a hammock and chairs.
