The code will be provided a few days before your stay. We will send the code via message or over the phone if you prefer.
Water Access: If you have your own boat that requires a public launch, one is located within a ten minutes boat ride from camp. If you have your own canoe or kayaks, you can put in at your parking area on Cold Stream Road.
Swimming caution: Swimming is possible but not optimal. The stream tends to have submerged logs and branches so no one should be jumping or diving. At the end of the summer there tends to be significant grassy growth on the edges of the stream.

On hot days and nights, open upstairs windows which have screens, and the cross breeze makes things very comfortable. When you look at the pictures you will see that things are open both up and downstairs. It's all open, so don't bring someone who will be offended by the open concept sleeping arrangements.
Watercraft: Maine state law requires that all persons operating watercrafts have a PSD (Personal Safety Device) when operating.
-There is a fire extinguisher located in the camp on the center post and in the MUD room for emergency use only.
We have good cell reception with Verizon and US Cellular. Wi-Fi and cable are not provided.
Playing cards and cribbage boards are located on the shelf on the center post of the camp.
- Please turn off unnecessary lights as the batteries for the solar system have their limit, particularly after several cloudy days with heavy electrical use.
You will need to heat water on the stove in one of the pots to wash and rinse dishes. As previously mentioned, the water coming from the sink is non potable and we've provided fresh drinking water for that purpose.
- The wood cook stove and stove in mud room are off limits for use under any circumstance.
- The adjacent building, "MUD room" has a short common deck for ease of walking from to and from the camp. It's like walking into another room, almost. It is strongly suggested when coming in from outside you enter that room first to remove shoes, boots etc. and put on some inside slippers, sneakers etc. This will reduce significantly the tracking of fine soils into the camp and make your stay much more pleasurable.
-Please turn off the propane valve when no longer using.
-Please clean grate after each use
Instructions prior to departure:
-Please strip sheets, pillow cases and place in the labeled bin in the MUD room.
-Place bags of trash and returnables in containers provided behind the mud room addition.
-Please wash all used dishes. You may leave them to dry and we can put them away we just request that you leave them clean.
-Make sure all lights are off, propane valve on grill is closed, and all doors are locked.
