INSIDE THE HOUSE
Welcome to the Sheepscot Farmhouse, a pet-friendly, picturesque retreat in the heart of New England. Park up to 3 cars in the driveway, then walk up to the porch while taking in views of the grounds—rolling hills, towering trees, and a Sheepscot River greet you. There's a grill on the porch, and the screened-in porch provides plenty of comfortable seating for dining, working, and relaxing mosquito-free.
Enter into the sunlit kitchen, equipped with all-new appliances and plenty of cookware. White cabinets and tile backsplash shine, and an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, and stainless sink make mealtime a breeze. There's a desk for choosing the perfect recipe, and a Bluetooth speaker for an inspiring cooking soundtrack! A fold-out wood table seats 6.
The bathroom is located off the kitchen. Inside is a spacious L-shaped counter, glass-door walk-in shower, and a large mirror with warm lighting above.
Navy wood floors stretch out in the living room, where a light green love seat offers a cozy spot for 2. Wicker chairs provide additional seating, and a 26” TV with cable and a DVD player sits atop a charming trunk.
Gray carpet lines the floors upstairs, where you'll find all 3 classic New England bedrooms. To the right is bedroom 3, furnished with a full-size bed with green and cream bedding. Bedroom 2 is to the right with 2 twin beds done up in charming plaid linens, and bedroom 1 is at the end of the hall with a queen-size bed against a shutter-style headboard.
An idyllic outdoor experience sits just outside your door at the Sheepscot Farmhouse. Kayak on Sheepscot River just steps away, check for eggs in the cool contemporary chicken coop, and hike the surrounding woods. It's 7 miles to Hidden Valley Nature Center—bring your sneakers in summer and your snowshoes in the winter!
Summer sunsets on the water are absolutely breathtaking—see it from the dock or stretched out in fields of wildflowers. The grounds here will offer everything a nature lover looking to get away from it all could want. Those seeking a little more hustle and bustle will discover it in hip Portland 1 hour away. Beautiful Boothbay Harbor is only 30 minutes from home, and Wiscasset is 7 minutes away by car.
