Centrally located cozy guest home in the beautiful and safe upscale neighborhood of Westside Village. Minutes to UCLA, Beverly Hills, Venice, Santa Monica, beaches and LAX. Close proximity to freeways (10 and 405). Enjoy the bustle of L.A. with an escape to your private zen retreat.

The Space

A large covered private deck with a tranquil seating area frames the entrance to this beautifully updated private guest home. French doors open up into the cozy living room space which has high ceilings and a tastefully decorated living room. Living room has a top of the line "Room and Board" pull out sofa (queen size that retails over $3,000) platform bed that many prefer to their own bed at home! for an extra guest or two. The living room has a relaxed seating area with Smart Tv (Netflix and DirecTV with Premium channels such as HBO, Showtime, etc.) The separate private bedroom has a skylight and view of the garden. The bright kitchen has quartz countertops and a coffee machine for your enjoyment along with all new appliances. Enjoy the sights of the city while coming home to a laid back retreat. Heater and A/C. Bathroom is 3/4 bath (large shower, no tub). Wi-fi and laundry (located in basement) access available to guests. Separate Patio has a BBQ and ample seating for outdoor dining.

Guest Access

Guests have private access to this space and their own private driveway in addition to ample street parking. Enjoy the use of the large manicured garden area, hammock, and three outdoor entertaining areas, as well as exclusive use of the beautiful yoga deck surrounding the house.

Laundry ("High Efficiency" washer & dryer) is located in the basement adjacent to the home. It is available from 8am-8pm. If you need laundry during other times please contact the host. The basement is approximately 40 feet from guest house. Laundry supplies (detergent, bleach and dryer sheets) are provided for guests.

Interaction with Guests

As your host I am available for questions related to the property and advice about the area/points of interests. Feel free to call me or text me if there is ever an issue!

The Neighborhood

Quiet and peaceful tree lined street in the well sought after Westside Village area. Enjoy walking to Starbucks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, grocery store, Trader Joe's, and restaurants. Shopping mall is only a few miles away. Close to 10 and 405 Freeway entrances and a few miles away from Beverly Hills, UCLA, LAX, Santa Monica, Venice, Culver City and Beaches. Walking distance to new Metro train. Bus, train, and Uber/Lyft friendly!

Getting Around

Perfect location within 1.3 miles of new Metro train to Santa Monica heading West or Culver City and Downtown Los Angeles to the east and beyond. Uber and Lyft your way around the city and enjoy being centrally location to all of the best cities in Los Angeles.

Other Things to Note

Your host will email you with the passcode to the keyless entry system prior to your arrival. There are two driveways on the property. Guests have the full use of the driveway closest to the wood fence for the duration of their stay. Follow the driveway through the wrought iron gates to the stone pathway to the guest house.

There is a large BBQ area with seating that is available for the guests to use. Instructions for how to use the BBQ are in the top left drawer of the covered BBQ.

Quiet after 9 pm as the property is in a residential neighborhood. No loud parties. Daytime and early evening entertaining acceptable. Laundry room is located in the basement just outside of your guest retreat (Approx 30 feet away from front door). Laundry hours between 8am-8pm. Contact Host for key to laundry room.

The owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.

Super experience!

We stayed at the Zen Retreat for 7 great nights. The accomodation was very clean and all the amenities were spot on! Our host Dana was lovely and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay perfect. A car would be suggested as the public transport was not great. Thank you Dana!!!!

Great LA Stay!

Great place! Very clean and well decorated. Close to Universal and Walk of Fame. Nice area and close to a lot of restaurants. Dana was wonderful to do business with, never got to meet her. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Perfect fit

We needed a place to stay for graduation and this fit the bill! Croquet in the backyard was our favorite. Well equipped and a perfect location close to Ucla and our daughters apartment in Palms. Many thanks.
