Built in 1903 and renovated in 2008, our farmhouse has the coziness of an old country home and the vitality of a modern art gallery. A full cascade of windows show off beautiful Hominy Valley and is only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville.
Multiple indoor and outdoor sitting areas create opportunities for big parties and intimate conversations. Anne's remarkable collection of modern art and Tom's handmade quilts inhabit the rest of this wonderful gathering space. A horseshoe pit, badminton, bocce balls, and two wonderful swimming holes open up a lifetime of memories. If fishing is your thing, Davis Creek has been restored by the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources as a protected trout habitat. Mount Pisgah, an easy 1.3 hike and is only 10 minutes away. Feel free to explore the garden and gather what the season has to offer. Our fully appointed modern kitchen has everything the avid cook might need.
We are blessed to have such a magical home. It's fun to meet people who find joy in wonderful places and beautiful things. We make every effort to meet you in person at check-in to orient you to house and property and then will be available by phone or text if you need us.
Our passive solar addition has solar heated radiant floors and domestic hot water. During really cold weather the wood stove is the way to go. It puts out the heat. We have all the wood you need and we will be happy to let you know how to make the most of it.+ More
