Private but not isolated, the cottage gives you a peaceful respite at the end of an exciting day.
Upon entering this cozy 3 bedroom home, you’ll find a warm and inviting open concept living/dining room to relax in while enjoying the kitchen amenities of a home. Wildwood sleeps up to 6 people, has 2 bedrooms up stairs with a 2 piece washroom and 1 bedroom on the main level, with another 3 piece washroom. It has a large wooden deck across the front of the cottage and another one across the upper front bedroom where you can sit to enjoy your morning coffee. Wildwood has municipal water for drinking and garbage pick-up once a week. Satelite TV, Internet, DVD Player and CD Player/stereo are there for your convenience.
In the evening, gather around the fire pit and roast marshmallows or make “smores”!
There is a propane BBQ available for your use and an outdoor picnic table to eat at while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Sunsets are fabulous at the beach with panoramic views of Blue Mountain as you overlook Nottawasaga Bay. The wide sandy beach is complimented by a gently sloping, child friendly entry into the clear waters of the bay. The seabed is a mix of smooth small rocks and sandy areas.
“Wildwood” is located 30 minutes north of Wasaga Beach, 10 minutes from Balm Beach and close to Blue Mountain, where an abundance of activities, trails, hiking and biking can be enjoyed as a day outing. Lafontaine is approximately 2 km away with a convenience store, bakery and liquor store. A European deli is a short 1 km walk. Penetanguishene/Midland is 20 minutes away where major grocery stores, movie theatres, restaurants and unique stores and Art Gallery can be found. As well, 2 Championship golf courses await golfers; Midland Golf and Country Club and Brooklea Golf Club. There are also other courses a short drive away.
Local attractions include the historic Martyr’s Shrine, St. Marie Among the Hurons, Discovery Harbour, or take a 3-hour tour boat cruise around the Georgian Bay Islands. The beautiful Awenda Provincial Park is a short drive where more hiking and biking can be found.
