Beautifully renovated 1866 House in the Historic District in the Downtown Wilmington neighborhood .Gorgeous old hardwood floors, footstep-worn thresholds, tiled fireplaces & time-shifted glass panes tell you this house has been here 150 years! Our 3 bedroom/2-bath/full-kitchen duplex is walking distance to anywhere downtown & short 17 minute drive to the beach! A very large backyard for hanging out.

We expect you around 5-6 PM but if this is not correct and you come later , let us know before your arrival. We live next door with our 5 year old who goes to sleep at 8 PM , which means we will be upstairs and won't hear any knocking . The Address is 110 N.6th Street near the Princess St. intersection and the house is colored pale rose. Your entrance is on the left and when you arrive just knock on the door on the right .We will have your cell once you reserve the house so please make sure you have us..

Now about the place........You have a functioning kitchen with glasses and cups for all beverages, a coffee machine with filters and grinder plus toaster. Recycling and trash pickup is early on Monday morning so we will let you know when we pull all the receptacles to the street .Recycling bin is blue, Trash is smaller and green, both behind the house by the shed though in the kitchen the trash is red and recycling is turquoise, both under the sink. Let us know if you need another bagl.Please put all TRASH out on sunday evening , and most important, please NO PLASTIC BAGS in recycling. folks have been forgetting this.

Linens and towels are all there with soap but you will need Shampoo, shower gel and more toilet paper. And a hair dryer.

Network ID is guest110un and the password is 21novjake for WIFI . PARKING is on the street and free and mostly empty after 5 p.m. Please please do not block the driveway , we share it with our friendly neighbors . However you can load and unload there when you get here. You have 2 bedrooms upstairs , both with queen beds plus a sunroom in the back with a doublebed . The Sunroom is accessible through the second bedroom but all the rooms have doors for privacy. There is a Shower and bathroom upstairs. There is also a fully equipped laundryroom. Laundry detergent is ultra concentrated so please fill cap up to dark line for each load. Extra blankets and towels are in the old wicker baskets from the 60s. Please just lift them gingerly, the hinges stopped opening a decade ago. Access to upper floor is by spiral staircase from living room and by a straight stairwell from back porch leading to second bedroom upstairs.

Downstairs is a queen sofa bed with the sheets and pillows in the black ottoman, a bathroom with tub and shower.Have beach towels if you do go to Wrightsville Beach or buy them because all the house towels are only for showering in the house.And please shake out sand before entering, either on front porch or backyard.

You are welcome to use the backyard and the BBQ and we have left you equipment for that ; if you need pointers on the charcoal chimney method, we will gladly show you.

We would greatly appreciate it if you leave the heat on 66 or the air conditioning on 76 when you are out all day . That is the auto setting on the two Trane unit control panels , which you will find behind the spiral staircase downstairs, and in the master bedroom at front of second floor above Luca's Papa's old desk.

We have cable TV. Just give the Toshiba TV 10 seconds to react to remote and it should show VIDEO 3 as input, then press guide or just switch with the channel button .There is a paper guide to all the ATT/ Direct TV channels. When you leave put all towels in hamper and strip all the beds you used, leaving sheets on the floor.. Also no cell phone or chats on front porch after midnight, our 2 adjacent neighbors hear it all because of the 6th St. echo. . Please let us know if you ran the dishwasher before you left.

Great Historic Home


We really enjoyed our stay. Luca was a great host and easy to work with. The house was clean and spacious, plenty big for our family of 4 (and our puppy). Easy walks to downtown and nearby park/playground were big wins! Thanks for a great stay

Comfortable and convenient to downtown


The beds are comfortable and it is a good place to hang out or convenient to walk downtown to eateries or night spots. We would stay there again.

Absolutely charming home!!!


We greatly enjoyed our three night stay in the home. The home is absolutely charming, well decorated, great layout and an absolutely fabulous location in a fantastic neighborhood. We walked everywhere! Parking was a cinch!!!
